hackX - one of the most successful inter-university hackathons unfolds its fourth successive chapter as hackX 2019, addressing the innovative minds of the Sri Lankan undergraduates. This time hackX revamps the ordinary hackathon into an Innovative Startup Challenge, allowing more solid refined startups to emerge through the industrial level product development guidance provided.

30 teams with the best innovative ideas will be selected through the initial filtration and invited to do an initial idea pitch of 05 minutes.
A technical workshop will be conducted for the final 13 teams of hackx, in the aim of providing technical guidance for developing thier ideas.
Intermediate technical webinar series will be conducted. Sessions will be broadcasted live through Social Media.
A business workshop will be conducted for the finalists covering business and marketing aspects related to thier innovations.
'hackX finals' will be the final platform for the final teams to demostrate their four week mastered production and battle for the grand prize.

Tech for Development Lead, Citra Lab
Mr. Ahamed Nishadh is passionate about technology, startups, innovations, programming and volunteering. He is the Tech for Development Lead at Citra Social Innovation Lab and is involved in the National Youth Social Innovation Challenge. He is also the co-founder of Disrupt Asia, Sri Lanka's premier startup conference and innovation festival and has spent most of his time coaching young entrepreneurs on building their businesses.

Mr. Chalinda Abeykoon is an experienced startup evangelist acted as one of the key executioners in launching Sri Lanka’s first government-funded incubator and the country’s first industry-focused accelerator in 2010 & 2014 respectively. In July 2016, he joined a consortium of experienced investors and corporate professionals in running CrowdIsland.CrowdIsland hopes to provide an avenue for start-ups to secure seed funding from angel investors across the globe. To date, CI has raised over US$650,000 in seed funding for 8 startups that continue to grow.
